On 17 October 2013, Ambassador Keith Azzopardi presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malta to the Federal Republic of Austria, to the Federal President, H.E. Dr. Heinz Fischer. The official ceremony included a meeting between President Fischer and Ambassador Azzopardi during which a discussion on issues of mutual relevance, in particular the issue of migration, ensued. The positive financial situation in Malta and Auatria also featured on the agenda of talks. At the Credentials ceremony, which was held at the Leopoldine Wing of the Hofburg Palace, Ambassador Azzopardi was accomapnied by his spouse and officers from the Embassy.
